Depart from Kalbarri Airport for a 45-minute flight offering an unparalleled adventure to see the Pink Lake at Hutt Lagoon near Port Gregory. Begin your journey by flying over Kalbarri town, gliding low along the beachfront before ascending to cliff height to view the spectacular coastal cliffs with their vibrant red sedimentary rock colours. Continue past the surfing beach, Red Bluff, and Rainbow Valley, where rainbows can often be seen in the sea mist due to the unique combination of minerals in the sands and silts that create a spectrum of colours in the stone. Next, admire a series of connecting gorges, including the natural bridge, before flying over the white sandy beaches of Lucky Bay and the stunning Pink Lake. The lake’s pink hue is created by the presence of carotenoid-producing algae Dunaliella salina, a rich source of beta-carotene and vitamin A. Covering approximately 70 square kilometres, most of the lake lies a few metres below sea level and is fed by marine waters through springs. After circling the lake, return to the airport, flying over the rugged Kalbarri National Park
